About ROAS Calculator and Its Free Paid Media Tools

Reviewed 2026-08-17

Why roascalculator.org exists

ROAS Calculator is an independent collection of free paid-media and ecommerce planning tools. It was built because a campaign ROAS number without margin context can look healthy while the underlying order loses money.

The project connects campaign metrics with unit economics: return on ad spend, ACoS, break-even CPA, target profit ROAS, contribution margin, and cross-channel reporting. No account or email gate is required.

What makes these ROAS calculators useful

  • Instant calculations with editable example values
  • Multiple, percentage, ratio, and ACoS formats shown together
  • Separate tools for campaign reporting, product economics, CPA, budgets, and margins
  • Transparent formulas and visible assumptions
  • Responsive, keyboard-accessible controls that work on mobile and desktop

Who builds and reviews the ROAS calculators

ROAS Calculator is maintained as an organization-level web project rather than presented as advice from a named consultant. The public site does not currently claim an individual author, certification, or professional credential, so it does not manufacture one for search authority.

Review covers the formula implementation, visible input definitions, worked examples, error states, keyboard behavior, structured data, and the consistency between page copy and calculator output. Representative calculations are checked with automated assertions and browser tests before a material revision is marked reviewed.

How calculator formulas and content are maintained

Formulas are documented in the methodology and reused across pages to reduce inconsistent implementations. Content is reviewed when a formula, input definition, interface, or external platform convention changes.

We avoid presenting generic ROAS benchmarks as universal targets. A profitable target must come from the advertiser's own contribution margin, profit requirement, attribution model, and customer economics.

Editorial and corrections policy

Explanations are written around definitions that can be reproduced from the displayed inputs. A correction is evaluated against the published formula, the code path used by the calculator, and current first-party documentation when the issue concerns a platform convention.

Reports should include the page URL, anonymous inputs, observed output, expected calculation, and a supporting source when relevant. Confirmed errors are corrected across visible copy, schema, tests, and citation files so multiple versions of the same claim do not remain online.

Project funding, affiliations, and data policy

roascalculator.org is not affiliated with Google, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, Shopify, or the reference sites used during product research. Product names describe common reporting contexts only.

The current calculators are free, require no account, and do not rank a platform, preset, or target because of user-entered data. Calculator values remain in browser memory rather than being submitted as an account history. Questions, correction reports, and accessibility feedback can be sent to hello@roascalculator.org.
